SAMPLE SALE - Nest

A whole neighborhood, and every light is on.

This is the Nest sample — my own pattern, pieced and finished by me, and it's the actual quilt from the pattern photos. One of one. When it's gone, it's gone.

Little houses in every color you can think of, tucked along winding green hills against a soft blue sky full of tiny white moons. Big houses, small houses, houses squeezed in sideways at the end of a row. Some rows are crowded and neighborly; some houses get a whole hillside to themselves. It's a village with a story going on in it, and I love it more than is strictly reasonable.

What makes it sing:

The houses are all cut from a speckled, softly dotted print — same texture, wildly different colors — so the whole village hangs together even though no two homes match. Sunny yellow. Coral. Deep teal. Blush and bubblegum pink. Charcoal and cream. Peach, sage, navy, oyster grey. The kind of palette that works in a nursery and in a grown-up living room, which is a genuinely rare trick.

Underneath it all: a deep pine-green ground shot through with turquoise speckles, holding every house in place. Above: that pale blue sky with crescent moons scattered across it, so the whole thing reads gently like dusk.

Bound in bright coral, which has no business working as well as it does.
