Two baby quilts, both scaled-down versions of Thimble Blossoms favorites. For the full-size versions, see Camille Roskelley's Jelly Filled and Wild Thing patterns.

They are genuinely different quilts. Mini Wild Thing is a pinwheel layout with a double border, more structured and traditional. Mini Jelly Filled is built from rectangles, looser and more graphic. Make both and they will not read as a matched set, which matters when they are going to two different families.

What makes this pattern especially useful is that each quilt runs on a single precut. One charm pack makes the pinwheel version, one honey bun makes the rectangle version. Add borders, binding and backing and you are done. If you have a precut you love and have been waiting for the right project, this is it.

  • 1 honey bun, or 40 strips 1 1/2" x 42"
  • 3/4 yard outer border
  • 1/2 yard binding
  • 1 1/2 yards backing
