Finished size is 18" wide x 14.5" tall x 4" deep, not counting the straps, so it swallows a cutting mat, a laptop, or a project bag and still closes like a proper tote.

This is a printed paper pattern with photo tutorial instructions and full size pattern pieces, written for the advanced beginner. If you have made a lined bag before, you have everything you need. If you have not, this is a good first one: the pocket construction is where the skill-building happens, and the photos carry you through it.

A great pattern for using up a fat quarter bundle or pairing one bold print with a calmer coordinate.
