A cut-and-sew panel that turns into a round smiley zip pouch, with everything printed right on the fabric: the pattern pieces, the instructions, the cutting labels, the whole thing.

This is a great format for anyone who finds patterns intimidating. There is nothing to print, nothing to tape together, no pattern pieces to lose. You cut on the lines, follow the steps printed alongside them, and end up with a finished pouch.

Rated intermediate, and the skill it teaches is inserting a zipper. That is the honest reason for the rating: the pouch is small and round, so the zipper goes in on a curve. The panel includes specific guidance for it, including going slowly, hand cranking over the teeth, and keeping the needle positioned between the foot and the zipper. If you have been avoiding zippers, this is a low-stakes place to stop avoiding them.

The finished pouch clips on with a D ring, so it works as a bag charm, a keychain pouch, or a project bag accessory.

You will supply: Lightweight one-sided fusible interfacing, a 9" plastic zipper, a 3/4" D ring, and a zipper foot. Panel and printed instructions only.
