Double Dream PAPER Quilt Pattern

Two rainbows, one quilt. Double Dream sets a pair of arcs bending toward each other across an open background, the way a double rainbow turns up after the storm has already moved off.

The curves are an illusion. The entire top is straight seams and rotary cut pieces, no templates and no curved piecing, so the arcs come together with nothing more exotic than an accurate quarter inch.

The real fun is in the color. The pattern includes two complete versions, and they read as entirely different quilts:

6 Tone Version. A single color gradient, six tones of one color. Quiet, graphic, and the easiest way to make this pattern fit a room that is not ready for a full rainbow.

30 Tone Version. Six colors in five tones each, for the full gradient rainbow shown here. Or work it scrappy, five scraps per color, and let the stash do the sorting.
